Once a police officer, criminal justice investigator, attorney, private investigator or industrial security interviewer knows the specific forms of a suspect's disguised lies, he has a powerful resource to use these "Lies in Disguise" admissions and confessions.

A must for Police

I had this book as a reference when I attended a week long course on Interrogation and Interviewing techniques at the Northeast counter Drug training center run by the military at Fort Indiantown Gap, Pa. This was a great asset to the course and have read it five times already and each time pick up something new. I have used it in quite a number of investigations and it led the investigations to positive ends. When you really absorb the material you will have a different outlook even when talking to friends or people you meet, they all have lies to tell and it is a learning experience to let them know they do lie and you can't be deceived. The price is high because I don't think there are many in print anymore, too bad, it is a great book. One other thing, the instructor, had a couple of boxes of these to sell to us students and the price was much lower, he thought it would add more to his course and it did, I should have bought two more, just to resell. Just watching the political campaigns with the movements, ticks, speech, body language, etc. of the present and past presidents you can detect the deception.

Damn Good Book.

Its just want it says it is, a book that tells you what people do when they lie so you can know you are being lied to. And how to deal with the situations in which lies happen. It is however a manual most likely intended for police and other investigators. It should be manditory reading for people with jobs like that. But, for normal people INSTEAD OF CALLING A TALK SHOW SO YOU CAN GIVE YOUR KIDS OR SPOUSE A LIE DETECTOR TEST, try this book.
